East African Citizens
Citizens of the following East African countries (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda & South Sudan) get significant discounts on all fees (up to 90% discounts). You do not need to be a resident in these countries but you will need to present a valid passport at entry. You can see the EAC discount .


Tanzanian Residents and Ex-Pats
For Tanzanian residents and ex-pats living in Tanzania, the conservation fee is discounted by 50% to $35 per day. There is no discount on camping fees, hut fees or rescue fees.

If you are travelling with a friend or family – we would like to offer you a 5% discount to each of you from the price of the program. Are you with 10 people? Then 10% discount. Are you with 12 or more – then 15% discount to each of you! The conditions of receiving the discount are the following – you should let us know with whom are you travelling and we will calculate a discount for you. Discount will be deducted from the second half of the payment that you are supposed to do upon arrival.

Physical Fitness:

Due to the nature of the exercise, you need to prepare your body well. It is recommended you do daily cardio-based exercises before the hike. We have organized Pre-Hikes to prepare the MARANGU group. If you leave near or at sea level, it’s recommended you spend some time in MARANGU before the climb.
